Art Circle is an international visual arts festival. Since its beginnings in 1997 in the Brda region of Slovenia, it has brought artists from all over the world together for a week to exchange ideas with locals and guests and to be inspired by the region. This year the Art Circle International is taking place in Austria for the second time in St. Wolfgang at Wolfgangsee.
It is the beauty of Lake Wolfgangsee and the nature around, which has always attracted artists and creative people.
As early as the interwar period, starting in 1927, a number of artists spent their summer holidays at Lake Wolfgangsee and formed the Zinkenbacher painters' colony.
In spring, international artists will once again be inspired by the lake and mountain panorama. Guests are invited to be there when works of art are created: whether in the art studio, on an inspiring boat trip or at a dinner with artists.
